Just been to the new visitor centre @ CYB. How very dissapointed I was! Its all a bit up market for soaking wet and muddy hungry bikers. Who wants toasted chiabata and waitress service? Ok, they do a fine line in cake but what has happened to basic beans/cheese on toast. Its just not what it used to be. Skyline cafe offers much better food in my opinion.
Trails are great though so take a packed lunch and enjoy!

Indeed, though one of the waitress was quite hot :D

Oh and there just arn't enough seats, it was crammed on Friday at lunch time and packed on Saturday mid afternoon.

Paul said his sandwich was great though ;)

Might help, if they are going to have waitress service to a a F**KING MENU on the tables too so you know what you can order, oh and pint mugs of tea, like in the woodbine would be good too ;)

Glad to see i'm not alone in needing something more substantial to eat at the end of a ride. As for the waitresses, getting rid of them would reduce overheads and reduce the cost of what is basically a £3.50 roll with cheese. Even motorway services charge less than that for a ginsters!
I'm thinking a burger van at the other end of the car park would do a roaring trade!

I guess they will iron out the teathing troubles over first few weeks, yes on of the waitreses was very hot.

No need to feel bad about sitting on clean chairs whilst dirty after bike ride - what do they expect. Shame really as when Sian and Dafydd were there the food was all home made, cheap, large portions and great!!!!!! Will be interesting to see what happens there. Imho they have got it right at Afan Glyncorrwg.

But if there are hot waitresses I might pop along!!!!!

Would somebody kindly explain the appeal of CYB to me. Just as I'd decided that riding an artificial rock garden without armour/full face was pretty daft the rider in front of Barbara took a trip over the bars and head butted one of the rocks. If my local trails were like CYB I'd have given up MTBing years back.

The new cafe area at Cannock also asks "wet and muddy" people to sit elsewhere to eat.....

Iron Lungs right. We were at the Chase last Sunday and sat outside. Not sure if I fancy being outside when its p---ing down post-ride. Foods good though. As for CyB, bring back Siann & Dafydd PLEASE.

Havent been to Cannock for a while, so havent seen the centre, but if its built for MTB'rs then they should expect it to get muddy to be fair.

Seriously though - they are trying to make these new visitior centres more family orientated, that is why if you are muddy and wet please sit else where!!!! Should be interesting if they have that attitude towards the bikers when they are the only ones using the place in the dead of winter!!!!



I say sit where you like, doesn't matter how dirty you are, if challenged tell them to f**k off!!!! (a tad ott I know!!!)
