Can someone please tell me how the sizing on Shimano shoes equates to real-life sizes. I am about to order a pair on mail-order, but I'm wondering if I need to go up a size, down a size, or just pick some numbers from thin air. I'm looking at something in about a size 9 UK.

Shimano shoes always seem about half to a whole size small
