I have a specialized s-works HT with SIDS at the moment. The SIDS are buggered and need replacing but i am thinking about replacing them with a slightly sturdier, 100mm such as a pair of rebas. Would this make a difference to the handling of the bike? (it does suggest using 80-100mm forks with the frame.)
I think any fork would give a noticeable improvement over the SIDs to be honest. I had a set of 04 world cup blackbox things and they were by far and away the worst forks I have ever used.
Get rid of the SIDs and get the Rebas, they're a brilliant fork. You'll probably be able to go 10 times faster too because you'll have some proper suspension underneath you! ;)
