Anyone out there got or had experience of Trek Fuel 90. Am thinking of buying
as first FS from hardtail. Limited budget so are they any good for the money ??

They've been totally redesigned for 2007, addressing all the issues people are about to tell you about, bushing wear, cracking frames etc.

If it's a 2007 one you're looking at go nuts, they're looking awesome, 1/2lb out of the frame weight, cartridge bearings all round, more active, 1/3 the stiction of the previous generation.

as usual..if you want something cheap and dont mind last years colours then je james cycles are still doing the giant trance 4 for less than £600..

I'll jump in now thankyou. The old model was a tank with poor bearings shit fork, heeaavvyyy wheels and worst of all the frame craked. I also think the single pivot design with rocker is a bit old hat.

Now I will say Trek do honour thier lifetime frame garauntee as they replaced my cracked rear triangle.

BUT I would still not touch a Trek full suspension bike with a large barge poll. I think Trek are sorted so far as road bikes are concerned and some of thier hardtails are nay bad either but full sussers no way, there's much better on the market.
