HELP.... i'm at a loss, i've a few pairs of rubber, but can't seem to get my rubber right.... I'm a big 15 stoner, but i can't half chuck a bike around. We do trials ( coed a brenin/peaks) about every 5/6 weeks, and weekly we do a boring 20/25 miler on mainly hardpacked, man made trails
I have 2.7/2.5 high rollers.... goin down - perfect - goin up - shit....
2.3/2.5 conti diesels - doesn't have half the grip as the maxxis - climbing, the rear skips and slips... braking on tech downhills, just locks and skids - BUT rolls well !!
i have a few sets of older 2.1's kicking around, but for my size, ( most !! is muscle !!) they feel like skinny road tyres to me..
Im using 2.3 High rollers (LUST) ad im getting on fine with them if you find they skit about abit try dropping your air pressure 5 psi they also work well in the mud
Managed to keep up with Dirty Karlos in Dalby with his Medusas (spl) on one very muddy slidy downhill
*last pararaph for Hans as he loves Dk and Maxxis ;-P *
Where can I get a pair of tyres with an amber side wall.
Black walls look rubbish.
(I actually shocked myself regarding my earlier post Onza apparently still make porcupines. So I'd go with a 2.5 porcupine front and a panaracer smoke 1.75 on the rear)
You're safe Andy, I'm seriously sozzled so no fighting today! ;o)
I've yet to try Maxxis tyres TBH, never really liked the look of some of their tread patterns so far, not that I've really paid them that much attention. Once I used the Fat Alberts I never looked back. Whatever suits your trails and riding style I suppose...
Amber sidewall...?
I think you can get a IRC Notos with an orange type colour.
