I have a couple of Schwalbe Evolution UST tyres in the bike shed.
I need to use them with tubes on conventional rims?
Any problem with doing this???
Cheers.

They weigh more, and you may have issues seating them, but that shouldn't be a problem.
The main thing is the weight issue.

Fucking UST tyres fat bastards shoot them all I say and DH bikes drain on the MTB community...
:)
PS I have nothing remotely interesting to say about tubeless tyres as I have never used them tell a lie i have, but they were solid tyres.

Deny them bike shop worktime when they break for being too heavy.
Maybe you'd have to warn the owner first, a 3-strikes type system.

Yeah they usually are fairly tight, but I've never tried one on a standard rim with a standard rim tape, you may be fine.

Cheers, will give one a go and let them know. I'm reluctant to use them on the trail if they're as nightmare to get on and off.

You can have problems getting them to bed properly around the edge of the rim, it helps if you lube the bead of the tyre with some washing up liquid and then it should pop into line properly when you pump them up.
