Hi all, just a quickie.....
Want to upgrade from V's to Magura hs33's but have heard rumours that I have to change my shifters (Y2k edition XT's) or the Mags wont fit??

Why do you want to change to Maguras? They are not as powerful as a well set up v brake but they do work better in the muck than v's.

to be honest I'm not a great maintenance man and the V's do tend to rub a lot so I thought with the lack of cables jobs a goodun!! p.

That's a good enough reason to switch over to hs33's then. Why not go the whole hog and invest in some discs? That is if your frame/forks/wheelset will take it.

Nah, got an early scott carbon frame so discs on the rear are a no-go but SID's on the front are ok..Hmmmmm dunno tho...p.

wouldnt put maguras on the rear of your bike pat ...
liable to snap
maguras were renound for showing up ANY flex in a frames seat stays and with carbon ones theyd probably just fracture rather than flex
