look at the question at the bottom of the page, and more importantly, the reply

also, cleats are entirely dependant on the pedal, shimano work with shimano, but nothing else, same goes for time, crank bro's any other manufacturer

try SH56 cleats, they are multi release so your foot gets out in any direction. Loads better since I changed to these. Great shoe bargains on Wiggle as well

I've got the Shimano M072 shoes and they are fine. The only problem I had with them was pins and needles in balls of my feet on a longish ride. I just changed the thin insoles to some slightly thicker walking boot ones I had kicking around.

Do you know that Shimano cycling shoes (and some others) tend to be sized smaller than normal shoes!. I have only ever fitted a size 42(8) in normal shoes, without exception, however the Shimano 42 was way too small, 43 was perfect. I don't think this is just me, because I've seen it often mentioned on ebay sales, where people have been selling shoes ie "Size 44 but more like a 43". I would go to your LBS and try Shimano on for sizing first.
