Currently have Candy's on both bikes as my knees seem to like them but the older of the two pairs is on it's way out. I quite like the look of some of Time's pedals & was wondering whether anyone had used them with Crank Bros cleats (or vice versa) as the mechanisms are so similar?

Don't want to have to fork out on 2 pairs and can't be doing with swapping pedals or cleats each time I decide to ride a different bike.

mate of mine got embarrasingly stuck onto my bike (with time pedals) when he was using his egg beater cleats.

Different shape yes, incompatible, no. I've been using Egg cleats on Atac's for the best part of 2 years.

Only tried it as an experiment because the 'beaters died and I couldn't find the Time cleats in my parts box because of being in a rush. Discovered that they worked just as well as they did on the Eggs so I stopped looking for the Time's.

M221 shoes, not that it should make any difference.

*edit - I do recall a while back (mag, forum or somewhere) that it doesn't work the other way round; Time cleats on Eggs... will see if I can find it.

Mine clip in using some old Aliums too so I don't understand what going on..

I think you are using the right cleats by mistake!
