I don't know if it affects the Ryde variant, but we've been experiencing uneven pad wear on our hire bikes at Afan with Stroker Trails fitted.
Basically, the top of the caliper casting fills with crud and inhibits the pad movement at the top, causing the lower end of the pad to wear out quickly.
Simple fix though, bin the brakes! (just kidding) file the top & sides of the pad backing plate a fraction of a mm, and they clear, and work perfectly again.
