I need a new waterproof jacket, but am 6'5 and have the arms of a Gorilla.

Was trying on some jackets earlier, but pretty much all the arm lengths were coming up short.

Are any brands known for doing longer arms than most? Have been trying on Berghaus/Northface/Altura.

I'm 6'1" and although I'm quite a way off your height I have very long arms and often have a job getting stuff to fit my guns. My Gore waterproof jacket has plenty of length in the arms but they are pricey £100+

Also the Gore (goretex) stuff isn't amazingly breathable so if you sweat buckets like me it may not be right for you.

Pearl Izumi always have plenty of length in the arms actually, I have a few of their jerseys but not tried a waterproof, also check out Gill stuff.

Hmmm, my old jacket is also a Gore but i'm having trouble finding any local shops who stock their stuff.

Will see if i can get hold of any pearl izumi stuff to try on. 

If you're not bothered about bike specific stuff go for Rab or Mountain Equipment

I am all arms and legs and they have always fitted me fine 

I'm 6'4" and was also going to suggest Rab, plus Montane, although both can be a bit baggy in the gut area when you get the largest sizes. 

Endura Stealth, pricey but very good - only needed it and a base-layer in sub-zero snowy Afan over Christmas.

Even the large has long arms - I'm 6'2" with long arms/legs.

Just did a great big long response to this just to watch it disappear into thin air when i hit submit. Doh!

Anyway, gist of it was that i'm 6'7" with a 7ft armspan and the best i've tried is Endura in an XXL (you can't be too skinny though other wise they'll bury you) which fits me fine length wise.  I also got a decent length one in Holland if you ever get over there.

My original post was far more in depth but my typing is so slow and crappy i can't be arsed doing it all again.....

But it's summer soon so we'll all be able to put jackets away and ride in t-shirts!! Yay. (yes, i know it's likely to rain for the next 6 months but i'm trying to be positive).
