i use the 29er ones. pretty good all rounder i reckon. mine have worn pretty fast though, reckon i could get about 8 months use out of them max.

not bad rolling, pretty grippy in wet, do slip out reasonably quick at back, but not so much the front. pretty happy with mine.

dunno if its different for the 26" version though...

Why didn't you ask me!  I've had plenty of these - and some of the PMWers have used 'em too.

I quite like them.  Decent all rounder, not too heavy, reasonable width (although never been a 2.2" IMO) and pretty good weight.

However, I know Chris F isn't impressed with them and I think Julie wasn't too chuffed with them either, so I may be in a minority.  I'm a notoriously fickle git with tyres though so if I can get on with them then I'd expect most other people to.

I got a pair of 2.1 wire bead acx's for £15.  It would be rude not to try them.  They must be a basic compound(Read hard) because they are slightly skittish over rocks (I like a soft compound for that).  They do however do all of the other stuff very well.  No problems at all for general riding duties.

Then the desicsion is made

Bontys it is!

Ade,

I didnt want to bore the PMW'ers with more kit dilemma's! I'm fickle as hell with my tyres aswell thats why I ask! Ive got over 15prs at home and in amongst them I mostly have Panaracer Fire XC Pro's! I love em but after following Derek they dont roll too good!
