I am using a 2000 Marin East Peak for mainly Trailquests and having changed the brakes and transmission I need to look at the suspension. I am running Pace RC36 and Fox Vanilla Float. I don't need to handle really gnarly stuff as I chicken out long before the bike does. The bike is fine on fast stutter bumps. I need to improve the climbing especially out of the saddle. I am considering Propedal but I am a bit out of touch on developments so I decided to ask here.

Send your shock off to TF and get it PUSHed.  Special aftermarket magic damping and the such, should be the badger...

I have looked at that. They can not do my shock. It is the non adjustment model.

Something like a Fox RP23 or a cheaper model.

I've got a Romic twin tube coil for sale, it does have a sort of platform in it, don't know if its what you'd be after.

I don't know if it would be any use to me. I am looking for an air shock to keep the weight down.
