You need to sit on the ass cushion from Specialized available in all good shops that stock Spesh saddles. If you are buying from the internet best bet would be to go to a shop and have your ass measured and then buy online......I didn't tell you that though.
Get a close friend to measure the bones in your arse cheeks. Not quite as accurate as the seat they get you to sit on but near enough that I knew I needed the 143 width
Still say Charge spoon, had several spesh saddles and relegated latest to my commute bike as it creaks, started doing it about 3 months old.
Bought and sold almost straight away an Alias it is a shite saddle for off road as when you drop off the back your shorts hook up on the corners of the V groove when trying to get back on the saddle.
Cro Mo is the one I have and its hard to fault at the price they are Synthetic leather on the cheap one. Thinking on getting the leather/Ti one for my road bike.
I thought the whole point of the different width saddles was to do with the different widths riders have between the bones they sit on and has little to do with the type of bike. That's what was stated in the original advertising. Why else woud they suggest getting measured if the answer was '143 for mountain bike'?
The quote on the Spesh website is 'Saddles come in multiple widths for a tailored fit, based on your 'sit bone' measurement.' no mention of the type of bike there

its not really the sit bone width as much as the way u cycle (how much u lean forward). Look on the website, the bone does count, but generally 143 for mtb
