I'm doing a new XC build (lurvely Kinesis Maxlight Pro 2), and have to say I'm ready to change my saddle from my old build. The saddle I've been using is a Selle Italia Flite Genuine Gel. Anyone have any thoughts on what to go for. Criteria are comfortable, light and as a preference available in white!

How are the Speccy BG seats?

Ta!

Its got to be  a SDG Bel Air RL Titanium for me. Ive tried loads of other saddles, including a Flite and this is most comfortable by a long way. Im on my second one now.

OK, not the lightest around but uber comfy and most importantly comes in loads of cool colour options. Ive got the black/zebra skin on mine. Have a look at CRC/Wiggle for colour options.

I have had one of these for two years now

WTB Rocket V SLT

I have used a lot of saddles, from Specialized Alias, to Flite etc. And nothing comes close to this saddle for me. I cant reccomend it highly enough, its strong, its light and very very comfortable.

Of course we are all different shapes and sizes, so different strokes for different folks.

Oh, I would add that if the WTB Rocket V SLT ever wears out, i would certainly buy another one.

Not tried the WTB Saddles but have had Flites, Alias and BG saddles.

Currently using a Charge Spoon and it is by far and away the best saddle I have.

And you can even get one in white.

All good so far - thanks. I should mention one issue I currently have and that's reduced blood-flow to areas where you would prefer good circulation. I'm finishing longer rides with a similar effect to jumping in the North Sea in February. Maybe I should just get out of my saddle more on the climbs instead of low-gear spinning!

I've been using a WTB Devo and thats the best saddle, i've ever used.  I've tried BG seats and although the measurments were done, it still never felt comfortable, despite moving the seat back and forth and tilting it differently.

The SDG bel air mentioned above is a good saddle, but again, it still wouldn't fit me properly and thus I took it out for two rides and sold it on fleabay, got £33 for it after I'd paid £29.99 from 'On one' web site.  bonus

I'm going to get another devo, red one for my new steed as its a comfy saddle, but I know a hell of a lot of people who rate Spoon's and Brooks for comfiness.  Would have a Brooks myself, still look naff and are heavier than I'd like.

Fizik Gobi is a good saddle for day-long xc comfort. Fatter arses may prefer a SDG Bel-air.

My next saddle will probably be a go-faster Selle Italia SLR.

Is that from falling off ?

What excuse did you give work ? Fell down the stairs ? You'll be getting a bollocking from your DTM for injuring yourself through enjoyment.
