Marz Dirt Jumper Forks. Rigida DH30 rim. Streakx Dirty Julia frame. Those three items weigh more than my road bike complete. :-/

Rockshox forks (post-SRAM).

Easton bars/seatposts.

Shimano SPD's and QR's.

I won't include any gears stuff as it all wears out or gets broken and won't include tyres as Schwalbe are the best IMO but wear quickly.

Oh, and Shimano XT disc brakes.  Great modulation, easy to fit & bleed and plenty of power. 

So to summarise I think Mike has the right idea:

Hope Pro II - Mine (rear) has required a rebuild (All bearings) in less than 12mths.

Hope XC front hub is the best i have seen for reliability.  Saintly has a set which i think are something like 8yrs old and they are still fine.

Rockshox forks - Ummm, dont forget about them as they wear out quite quickly if dirt gets in them seals

ODI Lockons - I have lost count how many of them little bolts i have rounded off

My most reliable kit has been

Kenda Blue Groove Tyre.  I swear i have had two lifetimes use out of this tyre.  It hardly ever punctures and it grips  (Still) like shit to a blanket in all conditions.

Come to think of it there is only two items on my 1994 DB Ascent EX and those are

The seat post

and

The stem.

Everything else has been replaced including the frame

2004 Stumpjumper FSR all I Still use are
