Hi , Ive always wanted a helmet cam , and very nearly bought one of those ATC things you can get at toys r us for about £ 80.00 , but after asking on here and googling some reviews I was strongly advised not to bother and after some kind soul on here sent me that link on youtube I realise now theyre crap and thank you for saving me my money.
Anyhow as it happens my works have been nice enough to recognise my efforts over the years and run a company reward scheme , basically pick what you want from their catalogue up to the value of £400, Most of it the usual tosh I.E. watches , china , golf clubs , lawn mower , really crap mountain bikes etc etc , BUT theres some half decent camcorders in there , Sony & Panasonic worth about £350.00 to buy in the shops ,
NOW MY BIG QUESTION..............can I get one of these digi camcorders and stick it in my camelbak and link it to a quality bullet headcam on my lid ?????????
If so what kind of - plug hole / conector / jack - should I make sure my new camcorder has to have so it can recieve pics and sound ????????????????
Or shall I just get the golf clubs and slit my wrists now. Any help much appreciated.

This one .... all digi cams will have all the right connections, try and get a cam with flash memory as storage, no moving parts, Sony do some nice ones .
What you need is a camcorder with "AV in" if you can get one which also has "LANC" then you can add a remote on/off switch, not necessary but it's a nice touch. I prefer Mini DV to digital, it's a bit biger but better quality, although both are head and shoulders above the little self contained units. Best check if the hard drive units can take the knocks of riding.
Dogcamsport and RF Concepts have good kit at good prices. The RF site is a bit muddled but call him, he's really helpful.
