Aye up, I am doing ten under Kirroughtree in a few weeks and want to get a new saddle pronto so I can break it in/get used to it etc.
Moneys too tight to mention at the mo but can prob spend about £40 or so on a new one.
Have always used spesh saddles out of habit/brand loyalty. Looking for something light and cheap if possible- I know spesh, wtb and others all do good ones but not sure how much saddle I can get for as little as possible?
They work OK but you have limited availability of models as it's basically only SDG that make them (unless you know different). I've ridden I-Beam for about 3 years now and have just gone back to railed seats and a Thomson seat post. Still Ride a Bel Air though. Great seat.
I'd say that the main comfort issue is that the I-Beam seats carcas don't flex as much as a regular seat. So, can be a bit harsh on the bot-bot.
Charge spoon all the way, tried SDG Bel Air, WTB Rocket and Lasers, SDG Grand Prix. SDG and WTB were comfy.....until I got the Spoon - seriously, even at £45 for the Ti one it is still a bargain. I have the £20 steel one and it is superb
