My last 3 pairs of forks have all been Fox & the 4 year old TALAS on my 456 are just about dead now. I need to find a decent replacement but am skint so more Fox are out of the question.
Looking for 120mm travel & minimal flex so any suggestions for a replacement for around £200 if possible?
RS Recon? I have a set on the front of my 456 and am very happy with them. Not sure if you can get them for under 200 spondulies though but they require much less maintenance than the Fox and can be done by yourself if you are mechanically adept or by your LBS.
Reba or rev's, either can be put in 115mm mode (or get u-turn and leave at 120mm), or wait a few months and get the new reba's @ 120mm with bolt through axle, they should be well stiff. I use 115mm rebas on ht and feel stiff enough, also out perform my rev's for some reason, absolutely stonking forks. Merlin often have reba sl at around £200-225 sort of figure, that's where I got them from then removed the travel spacer to 115mm mode.
