I recently bought a Spesh Rockhopper. It's my first 'proper' mountain bike and I'm loving it. I live near Ely, Cambs, and although there are no hills I've discovered thers no shortage of bridleways/paths/trails that can be ridden.

I'm wondering if there are any other members that live in my area that might want to start regularly meeting for rides. You never know, we might be able to start a 'Flatlands' riding club!

I used to live in Cambridge and very vaguely recall a Mountain Bike Club called something like "the mutts nuts treadley club" .

They might be worth trying to track down. Mike's Bikes in Cambridge used to have some contacts there I believe..

Other than that, get yourself over to Brandon and ride the Black run at Thetford Forest! If you ask at the little cycle hire place they'll probably put you in contact with some clubs etc..
