OK I'm having a conumdrum....

I'm thinking of buying a 'cheapish' secondish bike to keep at the in-laws who happen to live in the pyrenees (yes, near Lurbak and JG).

I'm thinking of one of these...

Now I already own a Cotic Soul and a nice Lapierre at home, but transportation costs and room (with kid) starts to become expensive almost as expensive as a cheapish mountain bike.

No I've had a bounce on the above Decathlon bike and to tell the truth first impressions are good.  It would be used a couple of weeks in the summer and also gives me something to play on around Christmas time.  The question is it worth it?

To take one of my existing bikes down there would mean buying the bike boxes and bags and a good rack for the car.  Also to consider is either flight costs or the extra fuel costs when roof mounted.   As for bike hire it's very limited.

So the question, would you do it and what are the alternatives?
