No, you are not mistaken!  My boyfriend (a dentist in Bristol) and his cycling buddy (an accountant in Glasgow) have taken it upon themselves to ride not one stage, not one week but the whole route of the TDF 2008 day by day, stage by stage.

ALL PROCEEDS are going to two very worthwhile charities - CLIC and Macmillan.  They depart on Saturday to start in Brest on Monday two days behind the pros, finishing in Paris on 29th July.

For those of you unfamiliar with the specifics and finding it hard (like the rest of us!) to put it in perspective, thats 3500K (over 2200 miles) in 23 days, spending a bottom numbing 140+ hours in the saddle!  All this with no drugs, no scandals, just pure hard work and the support of family and friends along the way.

Go to www.ianandmatt.blogspot.com for more details and links to offer sponsorship.  This ongoing blog will continue to be updated from France with their progress in the coming weeks.

PLEASE spread the word, offer sponsorship for Ian and Matt and help us to help them make this a success.  It is a MASSIVE undertaking!!
