i have some cateye setup at the moment which is great for general road use or round town etc, as soon as you go off road and possibly in to forrest type ground the lights become allmost useless !.., so total cost spent on lights so far would be around the £80 mark..

budget wise i can't warrent spending £600 + (lupins and of the like), i may be able to stretch to say around £100 - 150 tops.

anyone suggest a decent winter riding front light that will last at least say 4hrs before requiring a charge ? (or cheap enough to get a spare battery pack if life span is 2hrs)

rear light unbeatable for being seen and light pattern options, but again front light lasts for an hour on ok'ish beam, then drops to single dot for up to 40hr or so, like i say ok for round town but offroad or trial it's worse than moon-lit path !!!!!

(really great for strobe attention round town road use and to get noticed but useless for seeing road or anything like that)

i really hope there is somthing out there that helps me to see where i am going on dark unlit trails or dense forrest trails in the evenings...
