I was lucky enough to have a test set to ride at the CLIC 24 and was very impressed. Since then they have added a "full/dipped" indicating switch and the beam pattern has improved. I took delivery of the new ones per the website last month and they really work well.
The head unit is unobtrusive and the power gauges, which dim shortly after being used, really help you to get the most light into you ride. The recharge speed is something else as well.
I haven't taken to dipping mine in Cider to test the system (Cider Testing) but they worked all through the torrential rain that ambushed me on my ride last week.
Hmmm, so, if I bought another Vision 4 and ran two at the same time i'd have a max output of 1920 lumen? OR if i was daft (or rich) enough to shell out £1200 for two Betty 7's i could run with 3000 output? Sorry, does it work like that 'coz i thought the output stayed the same no matter how many were being used?
The thing with Tiger Lights is they are small enough to have two on your bars and still take up less space than some other halogen sets. As it is I run with one and the light output is enough for everything I do.
do you know, i can tell you almost every part of the lights they are using.
and they have built an almost perfect copy of my DIY lights, apart from they have used a more expensive led driver unit that gives then them all those functions, i did mine on the cheap as i didn`t want to spend that much on a driver unit.
same battery, same optics holders, although i mixed mine up with a one spot and two flood optics in my three led system, proably the same LEDs. it does through a great light!
I have an old Nightpro headlight unit which is very well made alu headlight. How difficult would it be to buy a LED light and convert it to run off 4 x AA batteries. I know nothing about electrics but wouldnt mind a go at doing it.
