I have been given the all clear in a few weeks to get on the bike on a turbo trainer! what I'm not sure of is if they all fit a 26 inch wheel witha slick tyre on? Last time I used one I had a road bike.

It's great news that they think it's ok, my poor left leg is looking very thin and spindely!

I'm obviously a long way from real riding, my right hand is still very weak and my arm has limited movement, but as I'm learning, this is a very long road I'm on. 10 weeks ago, when the stroke occoured, I was glad to be alive, 40%don't make it through the first day.

one small step at a time........

I do keep an eye on whats happening here, daft as usual!!

Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery.

They don't all fit 26" wheels, but the vast majority do, so it shouldn't be much of an issue! I recommend the Continental Turbo Trainer tyre, it runs cooler and quieter than a normal slick, and won't get eaten by the turbo. They slip less too.

All turbos I have seen can be adjusted to a 26" wheel.  I would stick a specific trainer tyre on and away you go.

EDIT - Nick is a quicker typer than me this morning.

I was distracted half way through typing.  I was trying to find Nespresso cartridges on-line

Err, how about www.nespresso.com ?

I do that, find I've responded to a thread after 2 hours, and there's been 534 people saying the same thing in the interim period.

Isn't that just instant coffee in a scahet?

Oh no, it's ground coffee in various strengths and blends.  Short of grinding your beans fresh it's the best way to drink coffee.  And yes I am a bit fussy about my coffee

Mike Spence I kneel down at your altar of the bean.

However, the most coffee zoned person I've heard of has the molecular structure of caffeine tattooed on his arm

If tatts were my thing then a coffee related on would be high on the list.

Ever had Kopee Luwak?

No, but I'm told that it's worth a try.  Maybe only once though
