As above really, where in Scotland do they do uplifts? and what are the locations like?

Innerleithen and Ae really. After the H&S got involved and made us use coaches it's gone a bit stale as it got kinda expensive for a day out on your bike. Theres also Fort William and Glencoe but they're more of a challange than a fun day out. Laggan do uplifts too but it's a bit short, not very tech and far far away. You can check dates and book online for Ae and Inners here. Here's a video we made a few years ago of Innerleithen, the quality's a bit low as it's 5 of the tracks and only 36mb. Here's one of Ae.

lazy fucker just ride back up

Or get an FC key and do your own uplifts. Not that half of Scotland would do such a thing, that would be wrong.

JJ - how rideable are Fort Bill and Glencoe at lower speeds, do they have chicken runs on the jumps? I will be up in the Highlands for a couple of weeks, so they are the ones I would like to hit, the dates for Ae and Innerleithen don't match with whenI'm up there.

Ft Bill... why not, I've seen guys ride it on a hardtail, I've even met two big Swedish tourists in sandals on the course, Nutters! It is rough as hell and worse after any race, particularly a WC, but go for it you can ride round or roll most obstacles on track. Glencoe... I'd say no. It's so loose, steep and straight down the fall line at times that if you touch your brakes the wheels lock and the ground just moves with you, it's fucking scary. I remember watching guys who race in Experts looking like Bambi on ice and decided it wasn't the kinda track you ride for fun. They hold the Scottish Champs there now and it's about the only time anyone rides it, considering it has chairlift access that speaks volumes. Don't do it man, you're not good looking enough to die young

Ah, but I do have the look to die in a fit of middle aged stupor.

 Is she cute?
She is a very nice person but not what you'd call cute. Now Rachel Atherton's quite cute. I was walking by the Atherton pits years back whilst she was getting changed and stood there in some lycra shorts and a little sports bra getting a right good eyeful I was, turned away and there's Dan and Gee looking like a couple o' bouncers growling at me through their Oakleys, I could help but LOL

and so does the lecht now: link That maybe more in your area MSP.
 Have you ridden lecht Gav?
No, and despite being classed as 'red' looks a bit too DH orientated for me. I'll wait for the blue one later in the year ....

When I did go to Lecht in the summer, I turned up on a Tuesday, which is the day of the week it is closed for maintenance. The riding looked horrible, it looked like an industrialised mountain side, in an area which is actually generally quite nice. It may be worth visiting if you live close buy, but I wouldn't make a trip up there just for that, there are far nicer placed to ride.

That is though the general buzz of all the resorts out of Season. Glenshee is particulary bad on the Cairnwell side.
