.jpg) I don't have an issue. My wheels aint here yet. I just read a few posts where people talk about an issue with play between forks with through axle systems like the maxle and proII hubs. Something to do with maxle not clamping sufficiently. Should I worry? Is there an issue?

Not that I know of. I've got a Pike/Maxle with a ProII and it's fine, my mate has a Maxled Lyrik and a ProII and he's never mentioned any issues.

Another Maxled Pike & ProII user here. Works a treat IME. Dan has/had an issue with ProIIs in a Fox36 I think.
yep there's a few people with issues between hope pro 2 and fox 36's, me included!
- someone said its something to do with some hubs having a missing internal sleave or something.
I suppose the same thing could cause issues between hubs and maxle?

Pro II plus totem maxle fine for me
No problem with Pikes and ProII's here
I've both a 20mm Fox 36 and one of the new maxle lite Reba's, and 3 Pro-2 wheels - all fine and dandy here.

there was quite a few cases reported on mtbr.

I had a problem. and found the spacer tube between the bearings missing, since fitting that no problem.

.jpg) yA KNOWS OOPS caps lock, that's what I thought might have been the issue. ANyone who ever had a skateboard when they were a kid know that the spacer tube for the internal race of the bearings is essential. It holds the bearing positions together, squarerely located..
i didnt think you rated computer numeric controlled hubs?
.jpg) theyre no longer just CNC'd.
 you been reading MBUK?
.jpg) only in WHSMITH's.. ok that's a lie, sometimes I still buy it.... I went Hope in the end. The irony is that with all the colour choices available, I still went for black!
yeah, know what you mean, i always end up with black.
There's a batch of 6804 bearings that came up short on width that caused the Fox/Hope issues. I've replaced a couple of sets now, and they all work just fine with the latest bearings. Nothing to do with the internal spacer in most cases.
