What tyre for General riding

Wanting to put some tyres on my Wifes Hardtail that will be easy for her to pedal, fast rolling for use on Fireroad / Cycle paths like Tissington trail etc and a bit of road.  It will only EVER (!!) be in the dry.  

What sort of tyre is a good all rounder for this type of stuff without going for a slick etc ?

I guess we would be looking at 1.9" or 2" ?

I have some on a set of wheels and the work supprisingly well except on wet roots and possibly on rock gardens, though I was running them at 60PSI.

I just bought some of these:

although not from Wiggle!)

I've only used them for a few local road/woodland miles and pretty pleased. Not the lightest but very good value.
