The demonstration took place on Honister slate mine and the handover drive took place on the Old Coach Road nr Threlkeld For some reason it took 4 hrs to hand the vehicle over. Maybe because it was so much fun. Hopefully none of you guys will get to see it close up but its a hell of a piece of kit.

We used the team a few years ago: clicky They truly were fantastic. We raised a few grand for them too, which has apparently gone to lining Hobos pockets. ;)

And a few minutes to wreck if they leave the handbrake off.

A small cost compared to what team members put in .

 Very true XC Man.

 Does it have cupholders?
Probably has one of those pop out cupholders built into the soundsystem.
It has got cupholders but i dont think the drink would stay in when its being driven to a call out. It even has a CD player. The best bit on it is the blues though. Great fun switching them on (Not on the road) and it also has a tannoy setup which if i had known i would have played with when the mechanics were working on it. Bit like Jones from Police Acadamy

Looks cool, Hobo. Maybe BM should make a donation. I usually make mine, when in Keswick, by drinking a local brew which donates 10p/pint to the KMR....................since I'm a lightweight with the beer, these days, it usually amounts to 30 - 40p, so finish up shoving a fiver in the donation box.

I believe the current financial climate has effected them the same as everyone else. They would welcome any donations coming. I try to put some money in the collection boxes whenever i can

Bit nearer home CRO needs some dosh and this from last weekend "Fortunately, when Sunday's call came in, CRO members working in support of the Broughton Game Show - the year's principal fund-raising day for both Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (based at Grassington) and CRO - had completed their morning task of parking visitors' cars. A mountain-biker, (m, 41) having ridden from Kettlewell, pitched forward over his handlebars, descending Long Lane from Churn Milk Hole (Pen y ghent) towards Helwith Bridge. He sustained chest and knee injuries, along with pain to the sternum. He also damaged his helmet, possibly in collision with a wall. Had he not been wearing a helmet, that collision with the wall might have been directly to his head. After attention and pain-relief from a paramedic, he was carried to an air ambulance, by CRO members, YAS personnel and his companions, then flown to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. CRO members returned either to working at the Broughton Game Show or home to a late lunch."
