Anyone fancy taking this challenge.

I started today, on week 3 - day 1 as I can already do 25+.

It would be good for those with moobs, enjoy.

I think I'll join you on this. I used to be able to do 100, I can now do a magnificent 15

Excellent.

Only 3 days a week, workouts should only take 5-20 minutes (20 minutes in the later stages) depending on recovery between sets.

Cool - I'm in. Enjoying strength training at the moment - will be a fun supplement to my regime. I'll start tomorrow,

Should be a laugh, I reckon you could throw the same number of sit ups into that program.

Never been able to do many more than 50 myself. We shall see, it would seem that more smaller sets are the way to go, building them up gradually.

Years ago I couldn't do more than a handful.  The solution?  Start on Jan 1st with one and add one each day.  Same works for sit ups and pull ups.  You'll find that it feels pathetic to do the first week but the flip side is that it never gets difficult.

I'm in - got a bet with my mates that I'll be able to bench press my body weight by Christmas, so either need to start strength training or cut off both legs....

I thought 8b equated to 10 one-finger, one-arm pull ups and 20 one-finger, clap-hand press ups Billy.

25 could have squeezed out one or two more but legs and core a bit tired from yesterday. Game on

You have the disadvantage of being front loaded.

Probably does if you were Wolfgang Ullrich, though the last climbing I did in ernest was in 2003. I still do the occasional set of pull up on door frames but the reason for me packing in climbing...my fingers were injured.

However, only doing 20 is probably why I find duck diving 6ft waves tiring as hell.

This 100 push up thing sounds like a pretty cool idea so I'm going to follow it through first set tomorrow
