hi all , the latest volunteer dig day at gisburn forest takes place this Sunday ( 11Th October) between 10am and 3pm , we will be starting a new section which will run alongside the fire road climb that is ridden twice in the figure of eight red route , this section will be single track with optional red and black graded obstacles built from rock or wooden shore style eg skinnies, seesaws etc, these will be various heights and widths so that people can session them and progress as they go along , so if anyone wants to come along and help build the trails all help will be appreciated

hi all, just some advanced notification that the next official dig day on the 10th of January 2010 will involve maintenance work on the hully gully ( roller coaster ) section of trail, this will involve resurfacing the trail and so this section of trail will be closed from the 10th until the end of January to allow the new surface to settle and harden , if you would like to help with this work please come along ( i will post meeting details later ) , please respect the trail closure and do not ride this section until it is officially reopened
hi , re my last post , the dig day yesterday was canceled due to the snow so the hully gully section of trail still open , but i have no idea what condition the trail is in after the recent weather , the maintenance session will be re scheduled as soon as weather conditions allow

hi , the next dig day is on the 14th of Feb and will be the postponed maintenance session on the hully gully (roller coaster ) section ,the meeting place has changed so enter the forest along the fire road that starts at the pub in tosside and park on the fire road at the top of hully gully (roller coaster) section ,the Forrest ranger will put up some arrows in the Forrest for those that don't know the way , this is a big job that really needs to be done in one go to minimise the time that the gully needs to remain closed so the more people that turn up the better
hers a couple of pics of the log ride we are currently building (not open to the general public yet )
