I was never entirely convinced by the physics on that "disc braked pull out your front wheel" argument, although if you're dragging your brakes as you go over a lip, I can see it might just be possible to have all the forces working in a directions that stuff could actually move.
But again if you have lawyer lips on the forks, it seems almost impossible unless the skewer breaks.
Ilost my front wheel once from my lipless Pace RC36's but got away with it.
