From watching the show last night he seemed genuinely releaved to still be alive, giving the guy who loaded the gun a hug - normally a sign of self reassurance and comfort after a traumatic experience. 'Though after the firing order: Chamber 3 - head (empty) Chamber 4 - head (empty) Chamber 5 - wall (empty) Chamber 6 was always going to be difficult - head (empty) with a 50/50 chance of the bullet being in the last two chambers he then had to fire Chamber 1 at the wall - if it went off he's ok, if it was empty then Chamber 2's loaded, and he's not going to put that to his head! I'll never watch The Deer Hunter in the same light again....
