Kinesis KM-810 released

We’ve just been sent this picture of the latest carbon frame to come out of Kinesis UK, the KM-810.

2009 was the tenth anniversary for the KUK brand, and they marked it by releasing the Decade range of bikes. They’re already looking forward to 2010 though, and this new KM-810 has been some time in development and testing and should be ready for the spring.

It’s been designed for the UK rider based around “a familiar racing geometry with a hint of trail in the angles” and will take a 90-100mm travel suspension fork, which designer Dom Mason reckons should be “ideal for the newer breed of technical singletrack XC courses found in the UK.”

Underneath the incredibly smart decals is a full carbon monocoque frame with s-bend stays, flared tubes at the head tube and bottom bracket, hugely oversized chainstays, and cables routed on the underside of the top tube. Frame weight is expected to be in the region of 1.1kg (for a medium). Price will be about £999.

We think it looks great and can’t wait to see one in the flesh. Find out more at www.kinesisbikes.co.uk.
