Respro HI-VIZ Hump

Safer commuting with a range of reflective backpack covers

We used one of these all through the winter last year, and now the clocks have changed (you didn't forget did you) we've dug our Hump out of the wardrobe. For safe commuting they're an essential purchase, they may not look stylish, but safety is paramount.

The Hump is a reflective backpack cover, covered with 3M reflective material and also doubles as a useful way of keeping your backpack dry if you ride sans-mudguards. Elasticated edges mean it fits most backpack designs, and two stretchy bands secure it in place.

New for ths winter is the Hump P15 which has a battery powered light system. Two long sections of piping the length of the cover add additional visibility, plus a new flourescent bum panel. Two AA batteries are concealed in a waterproofed container, and the light can be set to constant or flashing.

Prices range from £14.99 to £39.99. More information at www.respro.com

My Deuter pack comes with high-viz covers, one pulls out and fits over the pack the other fits over your front like a vest both water proof, sorted.

I like to have a hump on my back whenever I can.

;)

Im not too keen on waterproof humps though!

The wetter the better.
Posted: 30/10/2006 15:32

Yeah a dry hump leads to chaffing
Posted: 30/10/2006 15:38

Misty - yes, but they now come battery powered with even more flashy bits!

I've got the waterproof one...and shoved in the mesh pocket is a nice blue and white sign which reads "polizei"....See:www.zippy-online.co.uk/projects/polizei

Sniggers.

I think it works well, and it keeps my stuff dry commuting.

You're not worried about being arrested for impersonating a police officer? It's a pretty serious offence if you have any kind of blue flashing light on your car for the same reason.
Posted: 31/10/2006 11:35

who says they're on my bike?
...you can get done for impersonating a police officer too without blue flashing lights.

And the blue flashing light is easily available from argos being sold as a rear light....

I need to look into the offence a bit more...and I don't intend committing it.

Arry impersonates a policeman all the time, but really he's just a c*nt!
