Rock Shox has released the Sektor, a new 150mm travel fork intended to offer similar levels of performance to the long-standing Revelation but at a lower price.
"The Revelation set the bar for all front suspension that performs in the 150mm travel arena," says Rock Shox, "and to continue the Rock Shox promise we had to work hard to uphold performance and low weight in such an affordable fork."
There's plenty of choice with the new fork to suit many tastes. It can be had in Solo Air, Coil or U-Turn with travel options between 130mm and 150mm. Damping is Rock Shox's Motion Control with TurnKey lockout options and redesigned external rebound damping adjustment.
The fork is made with a hollow forged 6061 T6 aluminium crown and 32mm 7075 stanchions and dropout options extend to 9mm QR or 15/20mm Maxle Lite. Likewise, the steerer tube is available in regular 1 1/8in, 1 1/8in-1.5in taperer or 1.5in.
Weight for a 150mm Solo Air with 20mm Maxle Lite axle is a claimed 1.96kg (4.33lb). No UK price yet but in the US they'll set you back $471.
