In short: Super-scenic and very rideable
In full: Lot's of climbing and descending keeps you involved in the ride all the time. There isn't much road (and all of that is very quiet) and hardly any mud. The start and the finish (over Hergest ridge) is quite inspiring. It's all rideable with nothing too technical and there is usually plenty of space to overtake (and be overtaken).

If you've never done an Enduro before the Rough Ride would be a great one to start with. Recommended.

In short: It just keeps getting better
In full: The changes to the early part of the route removed all the bottlenecks of last year and made the start very smooth. The inclusion of some twisty rooty descents added interest for some. The "bog of crashes" was amusing if you didn't end up in it. Doing the 90km route means doing the 20km loop twice. Making the 70/90 decision can be psychologically testing, especially since there is cruel incline to ascend while the happy faces of returning 50k'ers speed past on the final stretch.

A great event. Well organised, suitable for all and as challenging as you want to make it.
