Hope to train 3x a week.
God, it was cold this evening!
Need to wear my overbooties and Goretex socks as my feet were lumpen blocks of ice. The most pain was in the shower - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Too warm too soon after the ride.

I have put some images from Monday's ride on The Red Route - Follow the Dog - @ Cannock Chase. LINK TO FOLLOW.
This is where it all began for me 12 months ago, I hired a Cannondale Prophet @ Swinnerton Cycles & went cycling - the 1st time since I was 18 yrs old, so a 23 years absence!
On my 2nd visit 12 months ago I had to stop to let my heart & lungs get re-acquainted 4 times.
The next visit the pauses dropped to twice then I did not get the chance to do a solo run 'till March 2006. That I did in 60 minutes.
The course builders have settled on the final layout & the course opened for business 6 weeks ago I believe, which yesterday took me 55 mins to complete. I know I can knock 2 mins off that time which I try on Monday.
Any time in the 40's would be considered respectable, I guess. Is that the case? What is a FAST time?
Meaning by November 2007 I will have had to put in some real effort to improve my fitness levels to see a sub 50 minute lap. Link to follow with some lovely autumnal images of the route. Tchúss. Tim
