if she must! try not to tell her i was an army brat who went to a military boarding school and spent a couple of years in the T.A. firing guns and missiles. and the six years going out to hardcore dance clubs before i found mtbing!!
if you can't stay over, you can't! just come really early on saturday and go back when you want. it'll make her happier :)
i'm waiting for a phone call to confirm if i can pop to doncaster on the train and swap frames. brant said he'd phone tonight or tomorrow morning if i can go tomorrow. he rang last night to say i couldn't come today due to staff/visitors and stuff.
i really don't want to try building the x-ess up as the forks and wheels won't work, plus i seem to remember some misaligned bb threads that will just blow my reetard bearings up! you want to see what it did to a UN52!!! |

that works best, but you'd better smuggle the sleeping bag out of the house first :)
what does she think you are anyway? a teenage girl with hormone problems? |

i've asked to visit brants bat cave in doncaster due to having arranged a meet for the weekend. people coming from all over and you just know post office or parcelfarce cannot work miracles.
so living in york, doncaster is a quick train journey away, although i can't get to the metro train station brants advised me is nearest to his place.
and i only asked if he had a headset press i could borrow, was willing to bring some tools and occupy a quiet corner to strip/rebuild my bike. it was the "i built my bike in brants bat cave" idea that i was going for. bit like the "i've built my own wheels and i haven't had to true them yet!" idea that is in fact reality for me!!
and if Brant wants to suggest offering another frame i would be willing to listen, it doesn't help being 6'3.5" when looking for a hardcore frame, which is why the Compo is one of the few bikes on the market that would fit me! others are azonic ds2 16", konas stuff and scab in 17/16" (but with their reputation!) not sure about running 26" front/24" rear wheels and 5" jnr t's on a JJF (geometry) and i'd need a fresh seatpost due to having cut mine down.
it's upto brant to advise me if he wants, i'm expecting a confirmation call for when i can visit him to swap frames (if only i had a car at my disposal!) i think they are running half days at the moment and got business contacts visiting.
