£150 for the lipstick camera, wires, battery case, mount, velcro mount. all from RFconcepts.co.uk. You can get a slightly cheaper kit at £130 but I went for slightly higher resolution for the extra £20. You need a camcorder with an AV IN (not a DV in). These are probably 10% of camcorders. you don't need a digital one unless you want to capture video email-ready (but who would - it's crap quality for TV!) And if you get one, remember to go FAST otherwise its very boring to watch. email me if you want more info/sample footage.

Our club rides at night all year round and we've see them all!

Most importatnt is to decide how much burn time you need. If 2 hours is enough then there are lots of options - I'd go for smart at 10W & £60-70 squid.

If you want longer burn time for off road use there is only one alternative - LumiCycle.co.uk. About £130 for a basic setup but beleive me, well worth it and can taylor your wattage to your desired burn time.

Be careful about battery set-ups - if you've got paint on your bike frame and you want to keep it DONT get a bag type battery - again Lumi's do a bottle type battery.

Things look different at night - it's a whole new world.......

Not sure if anyone is actually reading this thread this far down but........

My Fujifilm 4700 finepix is 2yrs olds now and no problems. Takes email-able video clips which are okay on a PC to watch.

I don't use full 4.3M pixel as the files are too large. My advice go for 2-2.5M pixel and make sure the camera is small. Keep it in a plastic bag when it's wet and you'll be set. Don't forget you'll need a set of (nuculear variety) batteries per half day riding and a 128mb card for that week in the apls - all adds to the price.

I've just got a Panasonic digital camcorder with a lid-cam. Its bloody brilliant. You can even take 1M pixel stills off the video at any frame - makes great printed sequence stills like they do in Dirt mag sometimes.

Good luck!
