I see it with a lot of people I know around my age here in Germany. They have all started wearing black polar neck sweaters with tweed(ish) jakets and blue jeans with brown cowboy boots which is deemed 'oh so fashionable for the well to do middle-aged men' around these parts.
That list is hardly representative of the music that has been available for the last ten years. I mean at least 80% of those bands are making similar types of music. The title should read 'the best album of the decade suitable for a white middle-class sixth form student'.
Nobby's story highlights what I see as the main problem which is parents in the UK want to offload their responsibility of their children onto the schools.
