15 LEDs consuming 1 Watt would at a guess produce about 20 Lumens of light.

A 12W overvolted Halogen would produce about 300 Lumens, so about 15 times as bright.

If you want a bright LED light try something like a Dinotte.

Road cranks are less likely to bend a square taper axle because the horizontal spacing of the pedals is less. Smooth and/or lightweight riders are less likely to bend them. Reducing the chainline from 50mm to 47.5mm or even 45mm by using a shorter axle would also help!

XT UN73 68mm-110mm 256grams

LX UN53 68mm-110mm 303grams

The bearing cups are inside and are what the ball bearings roll against.

Twin front discs would be nice. They're better on motorbikes because you don't get the fork twist that a single front disc gives!

XT square taper has a hollow axle, and the LX square taper has a solid axle. Cups might be alloy in XT and steel in LX. The LX is a lot heavier!
