I've got a Speed King 2.1 on the front as my 'summer tyre' (so not had much use this year) can't decide if I love or hate it. Very light very fast, bit wierd on hardpack when running hard or soft'ish. Was looking at the Verticals for for those in between months when it's not a swamp (can't beat my Panaracer Trailrakers for the deep mud) or totally dry.
I'm looking at buying a Yeti 575 and can't decided what forks to go for. I did have it boiled down to the FLoat RLC but as time goes by people keep dropping words like Revelation, TALAS, Vanilla, or Wotan into the conversation which keeps leading me down different paths!! I'm mainly going to be doing agressive XC stuff so no need to go for full on DH or Freeride stuff. Anyone got any views on the matter?
Looking to buy an Orange 5 Pro and as they come with a free 'upgrade' from XT to X9 thought I'd ask around a bit! I know the X9's retail at a higher price than the XT's but I'm not too bothered about the bling factor just want something that's gonna give good clean gear changes and doesn't fall apart/wear out in 5 minutes. Also something that's going to cope with the various forms of mud we get in the UK. Any ideas/suggestions?
Since the winter night have been drawing in I've been trying to keep up what little fitness I developed over the summer by delving into the dark woods of Bristol. Just wondering what everyone out there is using. I'm looking for something around £30 as the £200 for the lunmicycle lights (which are absolutely brilliant) was shock enough the the bank account!
