Another car isn't an option as nowhere to park it.

Not aware of anybody that makes tow bars for Z4's either, ruling out tow hitch mounting.

Bmw do a bike rack for the Z4, but it involves modifying the back of the car, and is pricey.

Seen a couple of similar arrangements by other manufacturers on american cars too, but looking for a better alternative.

Anybody recommend any decent shops in the Cheltenham area?

The ones I've tried locally so far have been less than impressive.

As the title suggests.

Use my bike mainly for commuting, and am looking to have a go at a bit more offroad riding, nothing too extreme. - Cotswolds area if it mkes any difference.

Any suggestions for a tyre?

I currently run 1.75" tyres with a tarmac orientated tread @ about 90 psi which are useless when off the black stuff.

Before that I ran some 2.3" knobblies which came with the bike and I ran at about 45psi.
However due to the aforementioned hills, rolling resistance, weight of tyre and my general lack of fitness, I found I was walking / cramping before I got anywhere near any mud.
