All,
I am in the process of developing a site to provide a database of cycle routes. It is ready for testing by the gerat unwashed (that's you lot) and I would appreciate any feedback and contributions.
Here's the link - http://www.bbsltd.com/routes
Thank you all for taking the time to read this and many thanks to those of you who visit and contribute to the site.

| Is this a smaller version of the Stan Colymore dogging thing? |

I use a combination of slimy jizz stuff in the tubes and a kevlar lining bewtween the tube and the tyre. No punctures (touch wood) for flippin' ages.
(Jules, are you serious??!?!?!?!?!??! What made you think of doing that in the first place? Were you getting nostalgic about your first ever bike with solid tyres?) |

Hmmm, I was getting the feeling that I was being turned over. The fact that the guy could tell how badly a new chain would sit on my cassette from eight feet away simply by knowing it was more than 9 months old, without knowing the mileage, set off the warning sirens. The problem is that this particular LBS is my nearest Marin dealership and that suits the bike. Mind you, Shimano/SRAM components are the same wherever you go.
I just don't like the way so many of the people in bike shops dry their teeth every time you ask them a question. |

| I was thinking of doing that Steve but they guy at the shop (and his mate at this point) started to raise their eyebrows and do the old "you don't want to do that mate" routine. They reckoned a new chain on an old cassette could end up damaging them both. |
