Hi chaps. Just logged in and noticed the comment about the resurfaced trails. I'd like to add that part of my local circuit, the fast descent to the ford below Blacka Moor, which used to be loose and entertaining, with big sticky-uppy sleepers every 20 yards to either jump or (like me) bounce over, has also been resurfaced with compacted cinders, up to the level of the sleepers, so it's smoother than forest road now. Sigh... It'll be Houndkirk Road next. |
I have Avid Juicy 7s on my Norco Six SE. They are the first disc brakes I've had (always used to use HS33s on my hardtail). I was wondering how do I tell when the pads need changing? The user manual doesn't say. Is it possible to tell by the feel of the brakes, or do I change them when they're down to a certain wear level, or what? Can I tell without removing the pads? |
