It was stolen from outside Glasgow Uni library. The thieves knew what it was and what it was worth, as it was stolen between 9.15am and 11.15am, the only one nicked. I hope they've kept it in a shed for a year and then sold it on...
My custom painted NRS was stolen in May 2005. Having given the thieves time to come out of hiding, has anyone seen it?
The paintjob is absolutely unique, and so I'm hoping if it's been ridden in the UK then some attentive BMer will have drooled over it!
At the time it was built up with black RS Duke forks and a weird collection of bits including lots of specialized components, a monkeylite carbon bar, non-matching Deore discs... and no seatpost coz I had that in my bag. I can identify it by frame number (v hard to see as it's been painted over) and strategic ding location (one very regrettable incident involving a concrete ledge).

Was superb last year (weather helped), biking in the Pentlands, running on Portobello Beach (and kayaking back up it), riding over volvos on the top of Ocean Terminal, taking over all of Princes St Gardens, racing through the streets with police stopping the traffic- just awesome!
We're aiming to do the long course and finish it, which of course requires a high fitness level, but also a high pain tolerance and being stubborn helps!
Anyway, I can certainly keep y'all informed about how it goes!
Hey everyone- is anyone interested in doing the Edinburgh Rat Race? Its an 'urban' adventure race held on the 16/17 July.
I'm looking for a girl to complete our team of 3, but I may well be looking for 2 people (guys or girls) if my mate pulls out. I'm 3rd year, Doug is 1st year (both Glasgow Uni), we're both rubbish runners but good mountain bikers. If you're a enduro-style competitor you may well be interested- 80-100km of running biking (<-lots of) hiking climbing abseiling kayaking etc around Edinburgh- awesome fun and very physically demanding. We did it last year, and it was FANTASTIC if you don't mind not being able to get out of bed on the monday morning :)
