We did discuss a bank transfer but Paul doesn't want to give his bank details to me which is absolutely fine. I have no problem with that which is why the cheques seemed the best idea.

There have been lots (and lots) of issues surrounding this whole situation and Paul is rightly and fairly pissed off with the fact it's taking so long.

I've just had email stating that a refund "will make this all go away".

What choice do I have? He's getting his money back tomorrow and I'll have to go after the Post Office with the receipt I have.

This is now ridiculous. The latest post on the thread on STW implies that I've forged a receipt from the post office.

Which is simply not true.

I've got other receipts from the same post office that show the details he's claiming indicate it as fake.

I give up. Completely.

I'd just like to point out that I don't in any way think the two who came to the house are the two people waiting for parts. I'm pretty sure they're a couple of members of the local STW 'posse' who took it upon themselves to pay a visit.

BHB, once things calm down here I'll get onto sorting out the Newnham ride for you and obviously the offer of helping out / pit bitching still stands.

Nigel, the people who were involved were aware of what is going on. In email communications with me they were content to wait until things settled yet on the STW thread they took a completely different stance.

I'm not trying to hide behind anything but there are certain things you don't want discussed on an open forum and I'm afraid 'vague' family health problems is one of them.
