My personal take on this is that when someone says something unpleasant to you IRL (in real life) you can sort of ignore it, you know - pretend you didn't hear it. And later on, if someone reminds you about it you can play it down by saying "Oh, really? Did they say that? I don't remember." But on a forum it's there in black and white for eternity. If forum posts 'aged' and then faded away into obscurity it would be easier to let these things slide and put them behind you, i.e. "move on". Unfortunately "moving on" on a forum usually means being banned or leaving. More about Net Rage. |
3hrs @70% MHR is the same, bike or running. I was wondering about that, but my MHR is different for running and cycling. How do you factor that in? |
Personally I find running a lot harder than cycling, but like Hobo I'm not sure how much that has to do with me: a) Not really enjoying running, and b) Not doing very much of it. However, I used to go cycling with a chap who was a very good fell runner (national standard) and over short distances, say twenty miles, he was very strong. However, one time we did a longer ride, about sixty miles, and he blew up completelyat the forty mile mark and limped home in a right state. Putting personal preferences aside, and making some broad asumptions, my gut feeling is that running a marathon is roughly twice as hard as doing a Merida. |
