Thanks for your reply , that was exactly the type of info I was looking for. I have no intention of trying  Nevis downhill black but think Glentress red is great except long uphill slog so will probably give new Nevis red a try before summer is out even tho it is a long way to travel for a days riding (from Airdrie) If so will post again in case anyone is in similar dilemma. I have a good quality hardtail (Trek 8500) and hope lack of rear suspension will not be a handicap , never found it a problem at Glentress.

In case I put anyone off Glentress black by my comments I gave up half way through initial long climb as it was over rougher terain than uphill sections of the red and I just was not enjoying it rather than feeling it was totally beyond me. Never persevered long enough to try downhill sections so can't comment

I was wondering if anyone has tried this yet and how it compares with red routes at Glentress. I find the red routes at Glentress great except for long uphill slog but Glentress blacks are beyond my level of expertise hence I have never tried the black downhill World Cup run at Nevis range in spite the considerable advantage of it being lift served. Does anyone know if the new lift served red run is similar in dificulty to the downhill sections of the Glentress reds or is it more dificult. I would say I was a recreational MTBer certainly not advanced or expert and would not be wearing body armour . I have seen a video of run on utube and felt it looked a bit harder than Glentrees reds espescially some narrow twisty Northshore sections but would value opinions of someone who has tried both Nevis Range and glentress reds

Its hard to say number of miles I've done on them as I dont use a computer or keep a log or anything but I would estimate 2000 miles

I have a pair of the above Pedals on my Hybrid bike with Titanium axyles and after less than a year of moderate use my LBS tell me the bearings need replaced. There is some slight give and rattle coming from Pedals. I am not very technically knowledgable but LBS say it is nothing to do with Titanium axyles. These are expensive Pedals which tend to be highly rated and I would not have expected trouble with them so soon. Anyone else had similar experience or comment to make ?
